Your Venture partner terms

Creators, teachers, librarians and other adults 18 or older who we approve. We can decline or end any partnership, for example if content does not suit a children's brand.

When someone clicks your link, we remember you for 30 days in that browser. If they buy in that window, the order is yours. If they click another partner's link later, the latest link wins. A buyer who types your code at checkout is credited to you even without a click.

Orders you place for yourself, or that use your own email, do not earn commission.

Your rate is in your welcome email and on your dashboard. It applies to what the buyer paid for the book or plan after their discount, not counting shipping or tax. Story Club plans earn on the first payments only (the number of months is on your dashboard), not on every renewal forever.

The US Federal Trade Commission requires you to clearly disclose that you earn money from your recommendation, and that you received anything free from us, such as a book. Every post, video, story, email or newsletter that includes your link, code or a recommendation must carry a disclosure that is easy to notice and understand.

• Put it in the content itself, close to the link or recommendation. A note in your bio or profile is not enough.
• Use plain words: "I earn a commission if you buy through my link" or "Ad: Your Venture sent me this book."
• On video and live streams, say it out loud and show it on screen, early.
• Use the platform's paid partnership or branded content label where there is one.
• Only say what is true about your own experience. No made-up reviews, results or urgency.

We review partner content. Missing disclosures can void commissions or end the partnership.

Never post a child's photo, name or likeness without their parent or guardian's permission. Teachers must not share student information, and should follow their school or district policy on promoting products to families. Book credit for your classroom is offered for that reason.

• Posting your code on coupon or deal sites, or bidding on Your Venture search ads.
• Spam, cookie stuffing, fake accounts, or messaging people who did not ask to hear from you.
• Pretending to speak for Your Venture, or using our logo in a way that suggests you are us.

Each commission is held for 30 days so refunds can be handled. A refunded order earns nothing. Cleared commissions are paid once a month by PayPal, Venmo, bank transfer or check when your balance reaches $25; smaller balances roll over. You can choose book credit instead of cash.

Before your first cash payout we need a completed IRS Form W-9 (or W-8BEN outside the US). If we pay you enough in a year to require it, we will send you a Form 1099-NEC. You are responsible for your own taxes. You are an independent partner, not an employee or agent of Your Venture.

We may change rates or these terms with 30 days notice by email. Changes do not affect commissions already earned. Either side can end the partnership at any time; cleared commissions are still paid.
